Found Along the Way

About Me

by Ashley

Everyone loves art, even if their tastes are different. Art should not belong only to the ultra-wealthy; it should be accessible to everyone. I have walked into galleries many times and thought, wow, I would love to take this piece home, but I can’t afford my annual salary on it.

That thought is part of how Oracle & Odyssey was born. As a place to discover things that stick with you: art found unexpectedly, places worth returning to, and stories that resonate with you. What started as my personal curiosity, has become a way of documenting discoveries along the way.

Oracle & Odyssey reflect two things I often return to, intuition and journey.

I will start by saying I am not an expert in art by any means, but I am a lover of art. I’ve always been drawn to places and objects with character. The old things, the worn things, the creative things, the kind of things you can tell a lot of love went into.

Like most people, I do not have unlimited money to spend on art, but that does not mean I can’t have beautiful and meaningful things. I try to stay curious and hold on to what feels interesting, thoughtful, or worth remembering.

I am also a lover of travel and have found that each time I travel out of my small town, my world opens a little wider and unexpected opportunities appear.  Travel has also become one of the ways I find art and experience in unexpected ways. Through small town galleries, antique shops, small markets, and places where creativity feels like a part of everyday life.

Here you’ll find:

  • art discoveries and collecting stories
  • travel notes and places worth remembering
  • uncovered art and design inspiration
  • occasional pieces from the gallery

Interesting things found along the way, as I am too.
